Darcy Garner Bhatia - extension 115
Darcy grew up on a Quarter horse breeding and training farm in Missouri. Darcy and her mom stood AQHA Champion Pine Wampy, a wonderful minded, versatile sire of halter and performance quarter horses. She won her first walk trot class on Rosy, a red dun 15 hand quarter mare a the age of 3. She successfully showed both western and English classes throughout high school winning many awards. Darcy brings to the Connecticut hunter/ jumper establishment a wealth of previous experience and a strong love for and understanding of horses.
In 2001, Darcy and three partners founded the wealth management firm, Highmount Capital - www.highmountcapital.com Prior to Highmount, as a member of the Family Wealth Management Team at Trainer Wortham, she designed strategic investment and asset allocation plans and managed assets and liabilities. Additionally, Darcy coordinated accounting services, estate and tax planning, real estate reviews and property and personal liability exposures. Prior to Trainer Wortham, Darcy was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at The Pacific Bank, where she was instrumental in creating the Investment Management Division inside the already established Trust Department.
Darcy received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans and her MBA from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Financial Planner. She holds the NASD Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. Darcy is a member of New York Securities Analyst (NYSSA), where she serves as an active member of the Private Wealth Management Committee and the Estate Planning Sub-Committee. Additionally, she holds memberships in the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), Financial Women's Association and Financial Planning Association.
