WILLOW CREEK FARM AND ESTATES:
Formerly known as the famous “Riker's Westenhook Farm” and listed by the American Quarter Horse Association as the leading breeder in all four categories of performance quarter horses in 1974, we were proud to continue the tradition of Equestrian excellence! with the opening of Willow Creek Farm in 2003.
In July 2000, I purchased the property with the goal of creating a premier equestrian facility surrounded by a premier community of lovers of "The good life." This dream became reality with the re-opening of the boarding facility after years of painstaking restoration and renovation. In January 2004, Willow Creek was ready to accommodate both boarders and trainers and almost since the beginning, we have been full.
The old magic of the Riker’s Farm came back to life with new energy and enthusiasm. Every barn, tack room, and matted stall has been restored with the addition of two new large outdoor riding rings, and miles of turnout, pastures and on-premises trails - The first phase of the rebirth was complete. Then with the completion of a state-of-the art 16,000 sq ft indoor and 28 stall luxury barn, we move to the next level of equestrian excellence and now have 65 stalls spread throughout 5 barns located on 103 acres
Having taken a hiatus during the Real Estate down-turn to re capitalize and reformulate the scope of the project, we are now ready to begin the construction of a private housing community overlooking the picturesque facility. Willow Creek Estates will be a community second to none with 21 private home lots ranging from 1 to 3 acres overlooking Willow Creek Farm, CT's finest horse boarding stables. Imagine 103 acres of private fields, picnic areas, trails, and pastures ...literally at your doorstep.
We invite you to stop by to see the facility and property, to meet the staff and see how we can become part of your life. As horse owners and lovers ourselves, you will not finding a more caring and attentive group of people!
